My apologies. I just updated the article with a link. Here's the link to sign up for the Collective for Good: https://forms.gle/bYwnhKgnsgN5pQRS6

I appreciate that you include ritual in your guide. I have found that remaining connected to both Self and broader existence in the Universe is fundamental to staying human in inhumane circumstances. The only other thing I might add to list, is to stock up on basics now as capacity and means allow, in case those basics become much more expensive later. Eg baby food, children's clothing, toiletries, non-perishables. Although it may not be possible to take all of it if there is a need to "bug out," it's better to have a bit more on hand that can be stretched out over time if needed.

I agree with you wholeheartedly on both accounts. I've been stocking up on dog food and pantry non-perishables like beans and rice + basic toiletries. I'm also working on bug-out bags for my hubs and I (and the dogs). That's been a whole rabbit hole I would have preferred not to go down, but here we are.

Very wise to be prepared. On the bug out prep, something that may be useful and that you've likely come across (which we've practiced for big hiking trips back when I was able) is the motto, "two is one and one is none." Practical and conceptual contingency planning!

I've heard the same concept described as "if you have one, you have none" to reinforce the concept of a back-up... supplies, plans, etc.

I appreciate your thoughtfulness. And where you think you might need to take things. It has given me food for thought. Also what a mess that we even need to think this way.

❤️ It's a total mess. I'd love to be more optimistic, and I just don't see the inflection point that changes the world's course.

My husband and I talk about the exact same bug-out plan except we both have concerns over medications for chronic conditions. I am trying to stock pile some of them. I also think small gold and silver coins, 1oz bars or other precious metals may be worth having, as paper currency may become useless. I am also considering moving some savings into a Canadian bank account.

I tried for that a few years back and found that you can’t open a canadian bank account unless you’re a resident. I know the ruch stash cash everywhere, but they also have homes everywhere

Best insightful analysis I’ve read on the topic so far!

I’m curious if you can share (or write a post) about what you would consider the shit hitting the fan? I have my own ideas, and I also feel like I don’t have a crystal clear plan of action. If this, then x. Thank you.

I have a drawer full of RX bottles for meds my son and I take. Been saving for YEARS. I keep rotating them out every month we get more so they’re the newest pills saved. Went to Costco and Target and bought several YEARS worth of birth control & a few morning after pills just in case some psycho tries anything outside.

We have a projectile velocity enhancer as well but just the one. I feel strongly we need another with the same projectile size for simplicity in refill types so my husband and I each have one if ever needed and so in extreme emergencies, if we have to split up, we each have one.

I have been pushing our son to speak with his counselor and see if he can graduate in a year instead of a year and a half so he’s only 18 for two weeks before he’s done with school and can move abroad. He just turned 17 and I’m encouraging him to apply at schools in Australia or Canada for college. I keep reminding him “This man WILL get us into a war and they WILL bring back the DRAFT!” I am hopeful his host country won’t extradite him back to this country if he’s drafted.

Yeah, I have ADHD, but I’m probably better off on Xanax or some type of tranquilizer so my head doesn’t spin all the way off with how much of my day is spent thinking about this. 🥺

Such a smart thing to do, encouraging your son to apply to attend university outside the USA. Would a uni in the EU be an option? I think about the likelihood of war often with the incoming administration. Wars are very profitable for the people who start them and keep them going. When I started to hear about the P25 plans to block access to pr0n and outlaw violent video games, I immediately thought that a large number of young, angry, poorly educated, frustrated young men who believe everything Felon47 says sounds exactly like the perfect military recruits for the incoming administration. I am very worried that rates of SA will increase, not only for women but for men, especially LGBTQ and disabled people.

Thank you so much for this information. You gave us good advice, good ideas, good tips. On your list of independent media journalists, there are other real good ones too on Tiktok, Bluesky & YouTube, like Aaron Parnas, Meidas Touch, Eggrolltime & TizzyEnt. Thank you so much again & God bless us all 🙏🏼.

There are several left-leaning pepper groups I've joined on FB. On balance, they're pretty good. Be prepared to scroll past some dubious "herbal medicine" advice and the odd bit of eyeroll-producing mansplaining. Focus is on community, caring for family, additional concerns for disabled, gay, and transgender folks; food, water, and meds storage; bug-out bags, caring for pets, alternative fuel sources, generators, gardens. Getting a vehicle ready and keeping it in good condition. Guns & weapons -- eh. The subject pops up, but no one is foaming at the mouth about it. The Liberal Gun Club (dot) com and r/LiberalGunOwners aren't the same group, but there's some policy overlap and both can be an information resource.
